I'm on the fence about this. I really enjoyed GT4 but I also remember that I probably only played 1/3 of the game. Since I was in college at the time my roommate did the rest of it.
Because of him I got most of the "fun" cars to drive otherwise I remember a lot of stress and swearing.

That being said I will probably pick this up, but I am also going to wait for a bit. I am sure it will end up being like FF13 where; now, you can get copies for under 1000 yen.

I will end up joining you guys but I'll just be a bit late to the party.

If anyone is looking for the collector's edition it's up for preorder on Amazon US. Not sure if this package will be in as much demand as the Starcraft 2 one, but I preordered the latter and was glad I did when it sold out and people started reselling their orders for double the price!

I'm kind of looking forward to this, but haven't had any experience with Gran Turismo before. Mostly, I'm just looking forward to the Top Gear test track to be honest, but Forza Motorsports has fanned the flame of my interest in driving sims.

Well, FF13 goes for 1000yen now because the game was pretty crappy and there where a million copies sent out that no one wanted. I'm sure GT5 will be one of those games that keeps its tag for a while... Then again I could be wrong.
    Howdy... ya'll... ops:

I think Its Jpn copy that way too many printed then actually needed..million is too much when there is not even that many PS3s are bought..I still didnt see US version for cheap price though..I am quite reluctant to spend even 980 yen for this JPN version..

Anybody here who's going to get the collector edition? http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/news/d5232.html. Btw, there are 3 editions to choose from but the other one seems to be for EU only (signature edition) http://eu.gran-turismo.com/au/news/d14081.html. Aside from that, you can enter a competition (signature edition only) in which you can win a mercedes-benz sls amg
